We’re hiring: Community Growth Intern at DogHood

DogHood is a hyper-local dog community app — think Nextdoor, but built entirely around dogs. We grow city by city, one pack walk at a time. And we’re looking for the person who makes that happen.

In Las Vegas, one effort like this role — finding the right person, building a relationship, guiding her through three free events — took a city from 2 weekly app opens to 98 in seven weeks. 200 new dog owners joined in a month.

Your job is to replicate that across multiple US cities.

Remote (US-based preferred)
20–30 hrs/week · 3 months · Paid
Start: ASAP

What you’ll actually do:
→ Receive a City Brief from us with active user data and champion candidates already identified — you start from there, not from scratch
→ Write personalised outreach emails and lead 15–30 min video calls with local dog trainers, community members, and dog owners
→ Guide them to become Community Champions — organising free pack walks and activating their city
→ Set up their DogHood profile and first event together on a call
→ Design event flyers, seed city feeds, and track weekly metrics
→ Manage 3 cities simultaneously at different pipeline stages
→ Report to founders every Friday with a clear city-by-city update

Who you are:
You’ve done cold outreach before — and you can describe exactly what you said and what worked
You write well without being told to. Your application email will show us this.
You’re comfortable leading video calls with people you’ve never met
You manage your own time without daily check-ins
You care about local community — whether that’s dogs, neighbourhoods, or just people finding each other

What you get:
Weekly 1:1 with the founders — direct mentorship, not a corporate ladder
A real, quantifiable result for your resume: cities activated, users grown, percentage increases you can name
Reference letter on completion
Path to full-time based on performance

To apply — no resume needed first:
Email purviandruchi@thedoghood.com with subject line “Community Growth Intern — [Your Name]” and answer this question:

Why does this specific role interest you — not DogHood generally, but the work of building relationships and activating local communities?

We read every email. We reply within 48 hours.
